clickbm explained

clickbm is an award winning web-hosted building information system that operates in the same way as a website.

As clickbm can be viewed using any standard internet browser, data is available and accessible at any time, via any media with an active internet connection.

The format enables easy navigation of and access to important information required for the safe and efficient running and maintenance of buildings post construction and includes:

• The health and safety file in accordance with the CDM Regulations 2007
• Operating and maintenance manuals
• Design information
• Building Log Book
• Building User Guide

The current format is based on the JCT structure; however each manual can be branded, designed and tailored to specific client / contract requirements.

Each project is accessible via a unique and secure username and password system.

In addition clickbm can be set up at project commencement and used throughout the project as an effective project management tool.

Information is uploaded throughout the project which enables easy access to the client, consultants and project team for the purposes of tracking documentation and project reviews. All relevant parties are notified once new documents are uploaded onto the system.

This feature serves a number of uses: it allows the project manager to monitor the performance of sub-contractors and designers in terms of issuing information on time; it allows designers to review O&M information prior to handover and ensure its accuracy and suitability; it reassures the client that the manuals are an integral part of the construction process and key information is being collected in line with the construction programme.
